di sana di negeri jauh di sana
seorang bayi menangis merana
tuan, nyonya, ia lapar
tuan dan nyonya berjalan tak mendengar
seorang wanita menangis menjerit
sakit, katanya, sakit!
mendengar bayinya menangis
lalu dagangannya tak kunjung laris
tentara berbaris, tentara di mana-mana
seorang berjaga tapi terlena
peluru berdesir mencari mangsa
demi nama sebuah bangsa
tentara menjerit perih
lukanya tak kunjung pulih
perempuan menangis di samping sang suami
yang tergeletak mencium bumi
darah! di mana-mana darah
negerinya terluka parah
yang benar jadi salah
yang membela kebenaran harus menyerah
mereka yang kecil tak dibela
penguasa! penguasa merajalela
mengendap-endap mereka mencari
milik bangsa yang dapat dicuri
nuraninya semua mati
bangsa tak lagi punya hati
ah, bumi menangis muram
menjerit marah menghujam
karena moral yang dikuras
demi segenggam emas
bayi-bayi menangis lara
ayah bunda pergi berbagai cara
bangsanya sakit
di mana-mana banyak parasit
mereka harus sembuh
penguasa malah bertaruh
pedang menghujam kesana kemari
katanya demi harga diri
tapi bukan milik bangsa
hanya kekayaan penguasa
ah, semuanya terlalu perih
ayo pergi mereka kita raih
ah, tapi untuk apa
kita bersusah-susah, mengapa
ah, kan semuanya di sana
hanya di negeri jauh di sana

tapi tahukah kamu?
aku tahu ketika aku melangkah perlahan-lahan
melewati rimba belantara
dan hutan-hutan beton di tengah kota
kamu memandang setiap langkah kakiku
yang berrima perlahan mengetuk satu persatu
aku tahu ketika aku terdiam memandang masa depan
tenggelam dalam pikiran
dan aku berpikir bahwa aku sendirian
kamu berharap bisa duduk di sampingku
dan memandang masa kita berlalu
aku tahu ketika malam semakin larut
dan bintang-bintang mulai menari
dan aku entah kemana tak dapat dicari
kamu berdoa aku ada bersamamu
dan kita bernyanyi bersama sebuah lagu
tapi tahukah kamu bahwa aku menunggu?
agar kamu mulai melangkah bersamaku satu persatu?
sampai kamu duduk di sampingku?
dan akhirnya kita bernyanyi sebuah lagu aku bersamamu?

Living in the bubbles
I've just recently learn that we are living still living in little bubbles
that isolate us from each others.
These bubbles have many variations.
They're called many things.
Religion
race
skin color
gender
heritage
accent
nationality
age
many many things
we live in these bubbles and refuse to interact with others.
I'm not only talking about discrimination
(although unfortunately
as I write these words
discriminations are still happening
and as disturbing as ever.)
But I also talk about daily basis.
when we're interact with others.
most people can't help but see each other's backgrounds.
Everywhere u see people with the same skin colors flock together.
People with the same heritage flock together.
People with the same nationality flock together.
Because that's where they are feel safe, secure.
We are too afraid to come out of our bubbles and live in the real world.
Where we ARE different.
and its GREAT.
Its time to ask ourselves.
Why can't we feel secure with people from different background?
Why can't we see someone of what they are?
Its time to open ourselves
get out of our little bubbles
and live with others
as a fellow human beings.
If we can live in the big wide world
why prefer to live in little bubbles?

Grow Old with You
I wanna make you smile whenever you're sad
Carry you around when your arthritis is bad
All I wanna do is grow old with you
I'll get your medicine when your tummy aches
Build you a fire if the furnace breaks
Oh it could be so nice, growing old with you
I'll miss you
Kiss you
Give you my coat when you are cold
Need you
Feed you
Even let ya hold the remote control
So let me do the dishes in our kitchen sink
Put you to bed if you've had too much to drink
I could be the man who grows old with you
I wanna grow old with you
This is my favorite song ever.
Since when I first heard it 3 or 4 years ago
on the radio.
Those words are more powerful than:
“I’ll cross the ocean for u.”
“I’ll love u till the day I day.”
To love someone is:
To make them smile whenever they’re sad although they said they don’t need you.
Be patience when their arthritis is bad.
Get them medicine even when they get cranky because they’re sick.
Spare time to build a fire if the furnace breaks.
Give them ur coat even if it means u will get cold.
Let them hold the remote control even when your favorite football team is on. This is the hardest one.
Be happy to do the dishes.
Put them to bed when they’ve had too much to drink instead of yelling at them.
To love someone is to grow old with them through goods and bads just for the sake of being with them.
now that's what I call true love.

Fairy Tales
For years
fairy love stories such as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty,
are retold over and over again.
somehow people think that those stories
are examples of true love
people expect those stories
will teach their children
-whom they read it to-
love, passion, hopes.
but these stories are bullshit.
If those people who made it
want to teach children a precious lesson,
they have to start the story with
'Cinderella is an ugly, poor, and selfish bastard.'
and end it with
'but the prince love her anyway.'
What's up with pretty, perfect princesses in those stories.
No one is that good in real world.
wake up.
they have to let the princesses do something.
If all u do is crying and daydreaming
like Cinderella does,
u won't get anything.
If all u do is sleeping
like Aurora does,
u won't get anywhere.
If all u do is singing, calling the birdies, and eating poisonous apple from STRANGERs
like Snow White does,
u will die.
U have to make it happen.
U can't just sitting around
and hope fate, magic, and ur prince charming
will do everything for u.
wake up.
they have to let the princess and prince charming
know each other.
people are crazy
if they see each other for one minute
kissed, and get married, and live happily ever after.
and by the way, they get married because the prince think that the princess is cute.
thats not love, thats lust.
and also,
being together is never the end.
its the beginning.
wake up.
u may think I'm a pessimist
but no, I'm a realist.
and thats the truth.
don't let ur children down when they realize that they aren't perfect like Belle
don't let them down when they realize they can't have everything
don't let them down when they realize the guy that just flirt with them already have a wife
that's life
just wake up.

The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas
Just finished read this book a few days ago.
It's one of the best story I've ever read in my life.
It's a story about NAZI
with an angle that I'd never found before.
I'm not going to give u a synopsis on this book
because the book doesn't want anyone to make a synopsis about it
and a synopsis will just ruin this book.
I agree on that point.
I'm just going to say
that this is a powerful book.
Told in a very innocent way
It will touch your heart.
This book is about holocaust
but it will teach u much more
about prejudice
about violence
about the world.
from the perspective of a boy.
It will remind u
how simple the world was
when we were just a kid.
How everything defined
based on what we felt
and not what we saw.
I think
this is the most thrilling story
about holocaust
that has ever been told.
to see it from the perspective
of a little boy,
u're going to be shocked
of what human kind has become.

Imagine
What is religion?
From what I was told
Religion is rules.
Religion is something that suppose to make our world put in order.
Religion is something that supposes to make our world peaceful.
The unfortunate thing is
Human beings are so great
That they have succeeded to change something with such a noble intention into the axis of evil.
The one thing that all religions
That I know of at least, taught is for us to love.
They never tell us to kill, hate, or discriminate one another.
And yet what we see today
We kill each other FOR THE SAKE OF RELIGION
We hate each other FOR THE SAKE OF RELIGION
We discriminate one another FOR THE SAKE OF RELIGION.
When we call our brother names, it’s in the name of our God.
When we point our sword to our sister, it’s because God wants us to.
Every now and then we declare our crusade.
Do you really believe that God wants us to be the way we are?
To kill
To hate
Everyday, someone will say
“You don’t pray the same way as I do
You don’t go to the same pray house as I do
We can’t be friends.
No, we can’t share the same planet.
Because you don’t believe in the same God as I do.”
Isn’t that ridiculous?
So what is religion?
And why does it have to define us.
If there’s no such thing as religion
Will the world be a better place?
Like John Lennon once said,
“and the world will be as one.”
From what I was told
Religion is rules.
